Image Sequence

Last updated 7 August 2026

A numbered run of image files played as a clip — the uncompressed route, where each frame is its own file.

Properties

Field

Description

Name

Editable name for the asset.

Directory / Filename

Where the frames are and the pattern that matches them; [#] stands for the frame number.

Resolution / Framerate / Duration / Total frames

Read from the sequence.

Reverse Playback

Whether the sequence can be played backwards.

Bandwidth

What the sequence demands from storage, in MB/s. This is the number that decides whether it plays — an image sequence is limited by the storage it streams from, not by the GPU.

Framerate

Overrides the rate the sequence plays at.

Prebuffer to GPU

Loads frames into video memory ahead of playback.

Name, Location, Mapping, Format, Sampler and the rest are the same on every visual asset — see Visual Assets Default Properties.
