Shared Memory Output

Last updated 7 August 2026

Writes the rendered output into a shared-memory block instead of to a screen, so another application on the same machine can read it.

Properties

Field

Description

Name

Editable name for the output.

Identifier

The name the receiving application opens. Both sides must use the same string — this is the whole connection, and a mismatch fails silently with no error on either side.

Enable, resolution, colour, warping and the rest are the same on every visual output — see Visual Output Default Properties.
