Visual Output Default Properties
Every output has these, whatever kind it is. Type-specific settings appear as their own section — see GPU Output, NDI Output, Recording Output, Dummy Output, Shared Memory Output and Shared Texture Output.
Properties
|
Field |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Output Name |
Editable name for the output. |
|
Enable |
Whether the output renders. An output can also read (temporarily disabled), which is Backstage having disabled it rather than you. |
|
Split |
Divides one physical output into several logical ones, for a device that takes one signal and drives several screens. |
|
Group |
Collects outputs so they can be handled together. |
Sections

What it holds |
|---|---|
|
Stereo Output |
Stereoscopic settings for this output. |
|
DMX Mapping |
Pixel-to-DMX mapping — see DMX Mapping. |
|
Monitoring |
Whether and how this output is monitored. |
|
Blend Mask |
A mask applied to this output. |
|
Mirror Output Image |
Flips the image, for a mirrored projection path. |
|
Mesh Warping |
The warp mesh applied to this output. |
|
LED Panel Correction |
An imported per-pixel correction for the geometry of this output's LED panels. Display outputs only, and switched on independently of Mesh Warping — see Output Warping. |
|
Test & Debug |
Save screenshot and Save screenshot 10-bit write the current frame to disk — the way to check exactly what an output is sending. |
An offline output
When the monitor an output was saved against is not connected, the output reads Offline Output: The monitor saved for this output is not connected. Assign it to an available monitor to bring the output online.Assign to monitor picks a connected one; with none available it reads No available monitors. Remove offline output deletes the output from the project; undo brings it back with its settings.
Above the monitor choice, the section shows what the output restores when it comes back online:
|
Line |
What it shows |
|---|---|
|
Display |
The display object the output shows. Display: deleted means that display no longer exists. |
|
Output type |
Projector output or Display output. |
|
Output ID |
The id the output keeps when it comes back. |
|
Warp presets: kept |
Shown when the output's stored warp presets come back with it. |
A split output lists these lines for each of its regions. Selecting one region shows only its own lines, and says the region comes back online with its split output. An offline output group shows the lines too, but it is not reassigned here: it comes back online when its monitor is reconnected. Neither offers Assign to monitor or Remove offline output. No saved configuration means the output kept no configuration, for example because its display was deleted while it was offline.
An offline output keeps its settings. Warp meshes, blend masks and routing survive the monitor being unplugged, so reassigning it restores the output rather than rebuilding it.
