Playback

Arranging content in time, and running it. The media is in the project by now; here you decide what plays, in what order, and what makes it advance.

Do this in order

  1. Create a sequence and add content — channels on a timeline, each video channel rendering to a screen in the scene. One sequence is enough to put a show up.

Create a Sequence and Add Content

  2. Build a stepper — an ordered list of steps, each triggering one or more sequences, advanced manually, by trigger, or when a sequence finishes. This is the running order.

    Orchestrate Multiple Sequences with Stepper

  3. Schedule it — a week plan for venues that run fixed daily or weekly programming, unattended.

    Use the Broadcast Scheduler

Done when: the show runs start to finish without anyone touching the machine — whether that means one looping sequence or a stepper working through a running order.

The Broadcast Scheduler schedules sequences, not steppers. If your running order lives in a stepper, a schedule cannot start it directly — schedule a sequence, and drive the stepper by something else.
