Scene Objects
It is where surfaces, displays, projectors and cameras are created and organised into groups. A group holds a complete scene — all its surfaces, displays and projectors — so several independent scenes can live in one project as separate groups.
Selecting an object here shows its settings in the Inspector.
Adding objects
Click + (Add scene object) at the top of the window, or right-click empty space in the Scene View. The object is created inside the group you add it to.

Shapes
Display and Projection Surface offer the same shapes. Each opens a submenu with its dimensions and a Create button, so the object is made at the right size rather than resized afterwards.

The menu names differ from the older reference pages for the same shapes: Flat is the plane, Curved the cylinder, and Import model the imported 3D model.

A Saved View carries its own entries — Recall to jump to it, Update to overwrite it with the current view, and Set as Default or Set as Active to control which view the scene opens with.
Object settings
Settings appear in the Inspector when an object is selected. What is offered depends on the object type.

Dropping an asset into the scene
Dragging an asset onto empty space in the scene view asks Create a display or surface? and builds the object around that asset. The same prompt appears when a video channel is dropped there.
Common Mistakes

An object is created in the wrong group — the + adds to the group it belongs to. Add from the group you want it in, or move it afterwards.

Looking for "Plane" or "Cylinder" in the menu — they are named Flat and Curved when creating.

The shape is created before its size is entered — each shape submenu has its own Create button. Set the dimensions first; the button is what makes the object.
