Surface Assignments: |
Check the surface and select the mapping of that surface where you want the video channel to be rendered to. |
Channel order
The order of the video channels in the list is their layer order. The channel at the top of the list is the foreground; each channel below it renders behind the one above. A new channel is added at the bottom of the list, so it starts out as the background layer.
To change the order, drag a channel by its name on the left of the timeline, up or down, and release it at the new position. The tooltip shows the position it will move to.
Assets
There are two ways to add assets to a channel:
-
Drag them from Assets to the channel or
-
Double click into the channel where you want to place the asset. The an asset selection dialog will pop up.
A right click context menu allows to delete the asset or set it to “loop”.
The asset’s properties are shown in the right splitter, if the asset is selected.
To select an asset in a video channel, click on its name or on the asset header.
Use the right click context menu to remove an asset from a channel.

Loop |
Check to have the asset looping. A looping asset plays until the next asset on the channel starts, and cuts straight to it. To loop for a fixed length instead, right-click the asset where it should stop and choose Set End Here. |
|
Transitions |
When the asset overlaps the one before it, Video and Audio set the transition type for the picture and for the clip's own sound. Transition In and Transition Out show the length of each overlap and cannot be edited here — move the asset on the timeline to change them. |
Transitions
To blend one asset into the next, drag an asset's start back over the end of the asset before it on the same channel. The overlap is the transition, and its length is the transition's duration. With playback stopped, click the label in the overlap to pick the type; it only appears when you are zoomed in far enough for it to fit.
A looping asset always cuts to the next asset instead — give it a fixed end with Set End Here first.
