Audio Channel
A audio channel can be create by clicking the + icon at right side of the middle splitter area. A right click context menu allows to delete the channel.
An audio asset can be placed into an audio channel. Since an audio asset can have unlimited numbers of audio channels, an audio channel in the sequencer does not only represent a single audio channel. It is a time based representation of potential different single or multichannel audio assets. The audio channel has one or multiple assigned mixers. All audio assets in the channel are connected to these mixers.
The audio channel’s properties are shown in the right splitter, if the audio channel is selected.
To select an audio channel, click on its name or on the channel header.
Use the right click context menu to delete a channel.

Assets
There are two ways to add assets to a channel:

Drag them from Assets to the channel or
-
Double click into the channel where you want to place the asset. The an asset selection dialog will pop up.
The asset’s properties are shown in the right splitter, if the asset is selected.
To select an asset in an audio channel, click on its name or on the asset header.
Use the right click context menu to remove an asset from a channel.

A looped audio asset can be interrupted by placing another asset in the channel.
