Surface/Projector Assignment
Says which projectors render which surfaces. Rows are Surfaces, columns are Projectors, and a ticked cell means that projector renders that surface.
You rarely need this window. Every projector in a render group is assigned to every surface in the same group automatically, so a scene built the usual way is already correct. Open it to override that — to stop one projector rendering one surface, or to hand a surface to a projector outside its group.
The matrix
|
Element |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Rows |
The surfaces in the scene, grouped by scene group. |
|
Columns |
The projectors, also grouped. |
|
Cell |
Tick to have that projector render that surface; clear it to stop. |
|
Group rows |
Collapsible. Collapsing a group hides its rows or columns, which is how a large scene stays readable. |
The matrix rebuilds itself when the scene changes — a surface or projector added, removed, renamed or moved between groups appears here without reopening the window.
What a cleared cell means
Clearing a cell removes that projector's contribution to that surface. The surface keeps whatever the remaining projectors cover, so a surface with every cell cleared renders nothing at all rather than falling back to automatic assignment.
