Output
Getting the scene to real hardware: every projector and display reaches a physical output, and audio reaches a device.
Skip this stage when preparing a project away from the installation — a scene builds and content plays without any of it. Do it on site.
Do this in order

Route video — connect each projector and display to the GPU output it is cabled to. Until this is done the scene can look perfectly correct while the screen stays black.

Route audio — create an audio output for the device and channels you are using, then connect what should reach it.

Add a matrix mixer — only when the channel counts going in and coming out differ, or individual channels need adjusting on the way.
Done when: every projector and display in the scene shows a signal on its physical device, and audio reaches its outputs. Nothing here is about what the image looks like — that is the next stage.
