Video: Get a Video on Screen fast

Steps

Open the Brainsalt Hub from your desktop.

Sign in with the Account assigned to you by your Projects Brainsalt Admin.

Connect to your video server. The Backstage Userinterface now gets streamed to your Laptop .

Open the folder holding your video, beside the Backstage Hub window.

Drag the file into an empty area of the Scene View. Backstage uploads it to the server for you.

The Asset properties warning flags compressed media as test-only. Choose OK.

Now pick what to play it on: Display, then Flat, and press Create. In this Workflow the size is determined by the aspect ratio of the Video.

Choose Create Sequencers. This will drive the videos playback.

Open Video Routing, you have displays down one side, outputs along the other.

Tick the box where your display meets the GPU output you want. When hovering, the outputs will be highlighted.

Press Play in the Sequencer. Your video now plays on the selected output.

For a second video, drop it onto the display itself rather than empty space. Backstage skips the surface step and goes directly to the Sequence creation.

Confirm Create Sequencers again. You route a display once; everything after follows the same path.
